Business Cards - Every Self-Respecting Girl Should Have Some.

I feel a little hypocritical in posting this, as I think it is much more applicable to those of you who get out and about much more than I do. But it did strike me that for someone who is in business, and meets new people on a frequent basis, the ubiquitous business card would be a very useful item to keep in one's purse or handbag.

There are a number of places online that offer "free" business card printing - you pay only for the shipping and handling. I found one I liked that let you pre-assemble all of the pieces; the background, the text, the placement and then see it in its finished form, right there on the screen. I played around with several different designs and finding appropriate entries for some of the fields wasn't easy - like occupation, but vanity prevailed, and I splashed out the $4.95 S&H and I am now the proud owner of approximately 250 colour business cards. I can now daintily hand these out to TG girls I meet at any kind of social gathering.

This is what my cards looks like (certain details have been changed to protect the not-so-innocent!)

By the way, the particular company I used was Vistaprint. When I got my cards in late 2002, the offer was for full-colour matte printing. Now it appears they are offering glossy cards.
